Financial Benefits:
The Facebook Fellowship Programme offers the following advantages to the recipient:
- Grant of $42,000 (one-time payment made throughout each academic year).
- The academic year’s tuition and fees (up to two years/four semesters) will be covered.
- Support for conference travel up to $5,000.
- Visit to the Facebook headquarters for the annual Fellowship Summit on a paid basis.
- Unless otherwise noted, tuition funds will be routed straight to the university and the fellow will receive their stipend. According to local law, stipends are taxed.

- A resume or curriculum vitae that includes your email address, phone number, mailing address, and any relevant coursework.
- A one- to two-page research overview outlining the projected study fields, its significance to the field, and Facebook’s application during the grant.
- Please attach two recommendation letters with your application. Please supply email addresses for references, at least one of which needs to come from an academic adviser.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must fulfil the following requirements in order to be eligible for the Facebook Fellowship Programme:
- English is the required language.
- Acceptable Countries: Every nation on the planet
- Students’ work needs to be connected to one or more pertinent academic fields (refer to the research areas above).
- PhD students studying full-time in any authorised university in the world who are actively conducting research.
- During the academic year or years that the fellowship is awarded, students must be enrolled.
- Those first- or second-year PhD candidates who meet the requirements of an underrepresented minority group in the technology industry may apply to be considered for an Emerging Scholar Award.
- The quality of the student’s research statement, publishing history, and recommendation letters will all be taken into consideration when evaluating applications.
