Eligibility Criteria:
For the Dost Scholarship 2024–2025, the following qualifications are needed:
- Candidates have to be naturalised Filipino citizens.
- Applicants should be either recent high school graduates or students in Grade 12. The only applicants are first-year college students.
- Candidates must place in the top 5% of their high school graduating class or have a GPA in STEM fields of at least 85%.
- Candidates must be truthful and in good physical condition.
- Applicants must engage in a degree program at a university in the Philippines that DOST has deemed a priority course.
- To use this scholarship to study abroad, a student must meet the entrance requirements of the foreign university they intend to attend.
- The maximum age for applicants seeking a master’s degree is 35, and the maximum age for those seeking a doctorate degree is 50.
Application Process:
- Applicants must create an account and register on the DOST-SEI website.
- Complete the form completely and accurately.
- Transfer the required files to the web interface.
- For qualified applicants, a crucial step in the selection process called the DOST-SEI Scholarship Examination will be scheduled.
- After the application deadline, a DOST panel of experts reviews the applications. We will evaluate each applicant’s academic history, research proposal (if applicable), letters of recommendation, and other relevant information.
- The candidates who made the short list may be invited for an interview as part of the selection process.
- Scholars who are accepted into the program are required to formally accept the offer and turn in all necessary paperwork. This could entail making housing arrangements, applying for a student visa, and fulfilling any additional criteria.
