Financial Benefits:

Eligibility Criteria:

- Restricted Prior Japan Residency: Applicants cannot have spent more than 31 days altogether in Japan. If the candidate participated in the Rotary Youth Exchange high school program or had family reasons, there are exceptions.
- Japanese language proficiency: Candidates must speak and understand Japanese at a level at least equivalent to JLPT N4.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old and born after April 2, 1980.
- For the first time Applicants: Past Rotary Yoneyama Scholars are not eligible to apply.
Application Process:
Procedure for Applications and Selection Application for enrollment between April and September of 2025:
- Use the APU Online Application System to request consideration for the Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship, and send your application to APU by September 16, 2024.
- Around October 2024, submit a direct application to the scholarship organization. Inform the scholarship sponsor that the selected university will give the Letter of Recommendation after the application deadline.
- After the admissions results are announced, APU sends a Letter of Recommendation to the scholarship candidates who were chosen. The announcement of the APU results is scheduled for November 13, 2024.
- Send the recommendation letter to the scholarship sponsor.
