An African-led program called the Partnership for Skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering, and Technology (PASET) aims to close the skills gap in ASET (Applied Sciences, Engineering, and Technology) in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). PASET, a group of African nations, was founded with the goal of fostering socioeconomic change by training workers in critical industries like engineering, ICT, agriculture, and energy. With an emphasis on building institutional capacity and strengthening regional collaboration, the program supports top-notch research, education, and innovation throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. Funding is available for PhD students, post-doctoral researchers, and universities to establish scientific knowledge and innovation ecosystems through its flagship initiative, the Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund (Rsif).
