Eligibility Criteria for ABC Orthotist & Prosthetist Scholarships
1. ABC Orthotist & Prosthetist Scholarship ($10,000)
- Enrolled: full-time in a master’s degree program in orthotics and prosthetics recognised by CAAHEP.
- Completed: at least two semesters or three quarters of a CAAHEP-accredited orthotist/prosthetist program with a GPA of at least 3.5.
- Each individual may only get one award.
- Financial need: Proof of financial need is required.
- Citizenship: You must be a United States citizen or a legal permanent resident.
2. ABC Scholarship for O&P Diversity ($10,000)
- Enrolled: Full-time and in excellent academic standing in a master’s degree program in orthotics/prosthetics certified by CAAHEP.
- Completed: at least two semesters or three quarters of a CAAHEP-accredited orthotist/prosthetist program.
- Under-represented: Must belong to a racial or ethnic group that is under-represented in O&P: Asian American, Black or African American, Hispanic or Latino, Native American or Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, or Pacific Islander.
- Each individual may only get one award.
- Financial need: Proof of financial need is required.
- Citizenship: You must be a United States citizen or a legal permanent resident.
Note: Applicants can apply for both scholarships, but they can only receive one each year.
