Documents Requirement:
- Attested copies of diplomas from universities or other comparable institutions (such as a bachelor’s degree after four years of study). If any of these documents are written in a language other than English, an English translation is required.
- A certified record of every course studied at the university level (Bachelor or Master’s). a grade table or comparative mark if the transcript’s CGPA is less than 4.00.
- Three recommendation letters (not mandatory for EMU alums).
- Provide information about any grant or scholarship applications you have submitted (attach papers).
- Recording of exam and test results for academic proficiency, including English. For programmes where Turkish is the primary language of teaching, this is not applicable. The place of birth and citizenship should be mentioned by native speakers. Everyone else is required to submit documentation from any of the English proficiency tests listed below.
- List any grants or scholarships you have already received that are applicable to your time as a student at EMU (attach documentation).
- An image of your ID card or passport.
- Statement of Intention/Purpose (Please send on a separate sheet: Your purpose in applying to the programme you have selected, outlining your motivation and the areas of specialisation within the field that you would find interesting).
- Documents specific to the programme: Architecture: Master’s and Doctoral Portfolio.
- A passport-sized photo, measuring roughly 6 by 5 cm.
- Proposal (for applicants to PhD programmes).
Eligibility Criteria:
The following requirements must be met in order for the candidate to be eligible for an Eastern Mediterranean University Scholarship:
- English is the required language.
- Acceptable Countries: Every nation on the planet
- For each PhD programme, new international students and Turkish nationals (separately) with a minimum Bachelor’s Degree and CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent may be eligible for one 100% or two 50% tuition price scholarships.
- Turkish nationals who enrol in a master’s programme for the first time and have a minimum Bachelor’s degree with a CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or equivalent are eligible for one 100% scholarship and two 50% scholarships.
- Furthermore, a significant number of master’s programme scholarships with a 50% tuition cost are offered to incoming international students.
- Evidence of proficiency in the English language is necessary for all PhD programmes (in both English and Turkish) and master’s programmes that are taught entirely in English. Your level will be determined through an examination at EMU if you do not possess a valid English language qualification that satisfies the requirements of the university.
- This assessment will determine which of the following applies:
- Along with graduate programme classes, you will take English courses.
- Before beginning your graduate programme, you will take rigorous English courses (no graduate programme courses).
- You’ll start your postgraduate studies straight away and won’t need to enrol in the English Language Support Programme.
