- A bachelor’s degree from their first university, or an equivalent, is required of the participants.
- Within the last six years, the most recent university degree should have been earned.
- Graduates in the fields of social sciences, political science, law, economics, and public administration are eligible to apply for the DAAD Helmut Schmidt Scholarship.
- Must be a citizen of a developing nation; applications must be submitted in either English or German.
- Language Test There are extra prerequisites for all Masters courses that applicants must meet.
