Financial Benefits:
The following advantages are offered to the recipient of the Global Korea Scholarship:
- Travel (Return) Air Ticket Price.
- 200,000 KRW in settlement allowance (given only once upon arrival in Korea).
- Monthly Allowance: 1,500,000 KRW for the Research Programme, 900,000 KRW for the Degree Programme.
- Research Permit.
- Majors in social sciences and liberal arts: 210,000 KRW each semester.
- Majors in Engineering and Natural Science: 240,000 KRW each semester.
- One-year tuition for learning Korean: All expenses paid.
- Programme for Degrees All-inclusive tuition.
- Fee for paper printing: between 500,000 and 800,000 KRW.
- There will be coverage for medical insurance.
- Monthly award for Korean Proficiency: 100,000 KRW.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this award, the applicant needs to meet each of the standards listed below:
- Required Languages: Korean / English.
- All nations in the globe are eligible, with the exception of Korean citizens.
Course for Undergraduates:
- Individuals under 25 years of age on March 1st in the year of selection.
- Those who, as of March 1st of the selection year, had (or were anticipated to) finish all of their elementary, middle, and high school coursework.
Course For Postgraduate:
- Individuals who, as of September 1st of the chosen year, are under 40.
- Those who, as of February 28 of the selection year, had obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Individuals who are under 45 years old as of September 1st of the selection year and who are currently employed as professors in one of the invited countries that receives ODA.
Additional Requirements:
- Those who can study abroad in Korea for an extended length of time are those who are in good mental and physical condition.
- Individuals who completed all grades in the previous school they attended with a grade point average (GPA) of 80% or better.
- Applicants cannot be those who are enrolled in or have graduated from a Korean university or graduate programme.
Application Process:
To be eligible for this scholarship, please take the following actions:
- In order to apply, an applicant must send original or verified documentation to the Korean embassy.
- Conversely, if a candidate applies directly to the university, all necessary documentation must be sent to the domestic university.
- Whereas a candidate applying directly to the university may only apply to one, a candidate applying through the embassy may apply to three universities.
- Students who make it through the second round of the Embassy track shouldn’t think of it as their last choice.
