- The winners of these prizes may be advanced doctorate candidates in the social sciences or holders of a PhD or equivalent degree (within two years after the start date of August 1, 2023).
- By June 30, 2024, for an August 1, 2024 start date, scholars who are almost finished with their dissertations must be able to turn in degree conferral paperwork from their university registrar’s office. Applications are not accepted from people who are now holding or have held another Harvard postdoctoral scholarship.
