ICFO Fellowship 2025 For International Students:

In order to support students’ education and research training, ICFO-The Institute of Photonic Sciences provides the chance for students to complete their final degree projects or master’s theses or to take part in a research stay.

A limited number of fellowships are available to exceptional students from world-class universities through this programme, which was made possible by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness of Spain’s “Severo Ochoa Centres of Excellence” accreditation. The program’s goal is to promote the excellence of scientific research in Spain.

The program’s objectives include providing exceptional students with early support so they can witness firsthand the thrill and difficulties presented by research projects within the range of research issues that ICFO is currently working on, as well as early exposure to frontier science and research. Financial Benefits:

The following benefits are awarded to recipients of the ICFO Fellowship:

For Masters and Undergraduate Students.

  • A gross monthly stipend of 300 euros is provided by the fellowship to students who reside in Catalunya.
  • A monthly gross income of 600 euros is provided by the fellowship to students who do not reside in Catalunya, provided they commit to full-time study.
  • Coverage also extends to eligible travel expenses.

Eligibility Criteria:

The following requirements must be met by applicants for the ICFO Fellowship:

  • English is one of the required languages.
  • All nations across the world are eligible.
  • During their internship at ICFO, candidates must be registered in an undergraduate or graduate programme.
  • Physics, engineering, chemistry, mathematics, and biology are among the subjects that qualify.
  • Fellows are chosen on the basis of merit and promise, as demonstrated by their academic standing and personal accomplishments. Additionally considered are proactive attitudes, involvement in community activities, and teamwork abilities.
  • Employers of equal opportunity include ICFO. On the basis of their submitted applications, candidates are chosen only based on their merit and ability. For ICFO positions, there are no limits based on gender, citizenship, or impairments. The values of openness, efficiency, transparency, and supportiveness are upheld by ICFO.
