Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Program 2025 For International Students:
This fellowship is intended to recognise international students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, inventiveness, and leadership qualities within their college. A special focus is placed on the impact the student has made on society and their college, as well as on their potential to positively impact global society in the future.
Every year, outstanding students from all over the world—including international students enrolled in Canadian high schools—are given these scholarships. Deadline For Application:
- Deadline for school nominations: November 30, 2024.
- Deadline to apply for student admission to OUAC: December 15, 2024 (Note that although you can apply until December 15, 2023, it is advised that you apply for admission through the OUAC as soon as feasible.) This is the last day to submit an application to the OUAC. It is advised to apply for admission by November 7, 2024, as popular programmes may close early and spots in them fill up quickly.)
- The deadline for student scholarship applications is January 15, 2025.
Financial Benefits:
- For four years, the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Programme will pay for all living expenses, books, tuition, and incidentals. Only the University of Toronto is eligible to receive the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:
An overseas student who has been recommended by their educational institution is eligible to apply for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship. The whole list of requirements for eligibility is:
- English is the required language.
- All nations across the world are eligible.
- A foreign pupil.
- A unique and imaginative thinker.
- Devoted to the community and school.
- A successful student in both academics and the arts.
- Zealous for education and knowledge acquisition.
- Have proven to be a capable leader.
- They must be in their last year of secondary education or have graduated by June 2023 at the latest.
- With the intention of starting your studies at the University of Toronto in September 2024 (students who are already enrolled in post-secondary education will not be taken into consideration; students who enrol at another post-secondary institution in January 2024 will not be considered)
Application Process:
To apply for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship Programme, please adhere to the following instructions:
- Obtain a nomination from your school. To be considered for participation in our programme, high schools that have not been contacted or verified yet must submit an application, which may be found here.(External link)(Source: outside website).
- To start your studies in 2024, apply to the University of Toronto (external link) and make sure your application is submitted by the deadlines(external link). Please be aware that you will be given consideration for the Pearson Scholarship for the U of T programme that is your first preference. You may apply to many programmes and may be accepted into each one; but, if you are awarded the Pearson Scholarship, it will only be applied to the programme of your choice at U of T at the time our scholarship choices are announced.
