The Government of Mexico offers Fully Funded Scholarships of Excellence for Foreigners to International Students from more than 180 nations. - Mobility scholarships for both Bachelor’s and Master’s level study, including a maintenance allowance equal to four times the monthly value of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), or $13,202.12 in Mexican pesos per month at the moment. - For PhD scholarships, the following are eligible: doctorate research stays, postdoctoral, medical specialties and subspecialties; monthly maintenance costs equal to five times the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA) value per month, which is currently worth $16,502.65 in Mexican pesos. - Enrollment and tuition fees are subject to the final decision of each Mexican educational institution, communicated through the acceptance letter, and are subject to the program’s provisions.
- Medical insurance provided by the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), effective for the duration of the scholarship period and starting in the seventh month of the programme. For Private Institutions, this management will fall within the purview of AMEXCID. With public universities, communication will be done directly with that particular higher education establishment.
- Exemption from the Mexican visa’s cost of issuance.
- International airfare after the scholarship has been completed satisfactorily. The ticket will be issued in accordance with the flight route and in tourist class.

- A copy of a current, colour, open-book passport or a picture ID from the government.
- A copy of the applicant’s health-related medical certificate from a public or private health facility, provided no more than three (3) months before the application is submitted.
- If the applicant does not speak Spanish as their first language, they must provide a copy of an official transcript attesting to their advanced proficiency in the language from any university or educational institution. This transcript must guarantee a minimum proficiency level of B2 in the Common Framework of European Reference.
- In a letter, the applicant protests that the information submitted is accurate and genuine.
- All paperwork and documentation need to be provided in Spanish or translated into the language.
