Shandong University 2024 Undergraduate Preparatory Scholarship For International Students:
The Undergraduate Preparatory Scholarship Programme at Shandong University (SDU) is glad to announce its launch for 2024. The program’s aim is to support international high school graduates with their undergraduate education. For six months to a year, this all-inclusive plan offers a solid academic foundation together with intensive Chinese language training. The programme comprises professional Chinese language training, major preparation, Chinese language courses, and HSK skill development to make sure students are ready for their future studies.
Foreign nationals in good health who possess a high school diploma or its equivalent are eligible to apply for the programme. In September 2024, a one-year programme, no prior Chinese language competency is necessary; in February 2025, a one-semester programme, an HSK 3 certificate is required. Students that excel and achieve high academic status are eligible for scholarships, such as the Chinese Government Scholarship, Shandong University Scholarship, and International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship. The dates for accepting applications are March 15, 2024 – June 30, 2024 for the one-year programme, and October 15, 2024 – December 31, 2024 for the one-semester programme.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Qualification
- International students in good physical and mental health are required to apply.
- Candidates must have a favourable attitude towards China and possess a current passport from their nation of origin.
- Candidates need to have no criminal convictions.
- Candidates must be in possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent credential.
2. Requirements in Language
- Chinese language proficiency prior to September 2024 is not required of applicants for the full academic year programme.
- Applicants for the one-semester programme beginning in February 2025 must provide proof of completion of HSK Level 3 with a score higher than 180.
3. Adherence
- The Ministry of Education’s Notice on Regulating Admission of International Students in China’s Higher Education Institutions is followed by this programme.
