2024 Destination Australia Scholarship for International Students:
The Australian Government’s Department of Education funds the Destination Australia scholarship. It is consistent with the National Strategy for International Education 2025. You can also apply for Australia Awards Scholarships 2024-25 in Australia (Fully Funded)

Deadline For Application:
The deadline for applying is June 17, 2024.
Financial Benefit:
The scholarship aims to:
- Encourage and promote study in regional Australia.
- Expand and strengthen rural Australian tertiary education providers.
- Give students a high-quality educational experience.
- The recipients of the Destination Australia Scholarship get AUD $15,000 per year (a total of $60,000 over four years).
Eligibility Criteria:
- For the term of the scholarship, I will study full-time at UQ’s Gatton campus using internal study mode.
- Reside in a regional area of Australia for the term of the scholarship as specified by the Australian Statistical Geography Standard
- Remoteness Structure 2016 (Australian Bureau of Statistics).
- Are you an international student?
- Obtain a student visa for the scholarship’s length.
- A beginning student
- Are you UQ alumni starting a new programme (for example, Master’s after finishing a Bachelor’s degree)?
- Have a complete offer to study an eligible programme entirely on the UQ Gatton campus in 2024 (you are not required to accept your full offer by the scholarship application date).
