Details of the Scholarship
- The researchers will be compensated with a net annual stipend of USD 3,000.
- Duration: TÜBİTAK sets the minimum and maximum scholarship terms, which are 12 and 24 months, respectively.
- Payment: The stipend will be sent into the recipient’s bank account inside or outside of Turkey on a monthly or quarterly basis.
Opportunity for Postdoctoral Research
- After completing the fellowship, candidates could be able to work as postdoctoral researchers in the laboratory of Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar for a maximum of 24 months without having to apply for extra funding.

The scholarship recipient will get a one-time, round-trip plane ticket from TÜBİTAK to cover the following:

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must fulfil the requirements listed below:
- Citizenship: Hold a Republic of Turkey citizenship.
- Doctoral Degree: Be on schedule to finish your doctorate within six months of the scholarship start date, or you must have earned one within the last seven years.
- Research Alignment: The subject matter of the application must be closely tied to the research conducted by Professor Dr. Aziz Sancar.
- Language Proficiency: Use one of the following to show that you are proficient in English:YDS, e-YDS, or YŖKDiL score of at least 65 earned within the previous five years.
- An equivalent foreign language exam result during the last two years that has been approved by ÖSYM.
- A degree, either undergraduate or graduate, from a Turkish university with English-language instruction.
- A graduate or undergraduate degree from an overseas university.

The following must be submitted by applicants:
- Filled-out application
- A thorough curriculum vitae (CV) that summarises the researcher’s training and background in research (theses, publications, etc.)
- Clearly stating how the candidate’s research complements Professor Dr. Aziz Sancar’s work and including particulars about the planned research endeavour are included in the letter of intent.
- A letter of acceptance from the thesis advisor attesting to the fact that, if authorised by the Ministry of Health, the doctoral degree or medical specialisation certificate will be attained in the upcoming six months.

- A current five-year-old valid YDS, e-YDS, or YÖKDİL score of at least 65,
