Applications are invited for the Victoria University of Wellington Scholarships 2024-25 in New Zealand. The Tongarewa Scholarship at Victoria University of Wellington is open to all international students from around the world. Students interested in pursuing Masters or PhD degrees in New Zealand are urged to apply. The scholarship is available for the academic year 2024–2025.
Students with a strong academic background who are in their first year of undergraduate studies or pursuing a postgraduate degree are eligible to apply for this grant. Ten NZ$10,000 scholarships are available to students pursuing Bachelor’s and Masters degrees, while nine NZ$5,000 grants are solely available to Masters degree holders. Every year, 110 PhD students are paid stipends and tuition costs totalling $27,500. The award is available for tuition costs once the candidate has been admitted to the university.

Financial Benefits:
Victoria University of Wellington Scholarships 2024 for International Students will award NZ$10,000 to undergraduate and master’s degree students. These are ten prizes. Only Masters degree candidates will be eligible for nine rewards totaling NZ$5,000. The scholarship lasts one year. Doctorate students will get 110 prizes with a stipend of $27,500 per year plus tuition.

Eligibility Criteria:

Ineligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must have finished their secondary education in New Zealand and have completed any required courses at Victoria University of Wellington, such as the Foundation Studies Programme or English Proficiency Programme.
- If the candidate is in their second year of university and has studied abroad or at one of our partner universities.
