Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this award, the applicant needs to meet each of the standards listed below:
- English is the required language.
- Citizens of Switzerland and nations outside the EU/EEA are eligible.
- You are a national of a non-EU/EEA country, Switzerland, or Surinam, and you fulfil the requirements to be granted a Netherlands entry visa and residency permit.
- You do not own dual citizenship with any EU or EEA nation.
- You have submitted an application to Maastricht University’s full-time Master’s programme for the 2025–2026 academic year.
- UM master’s programmes listed that are taking part in this scholarship programme.
- You are eligible to apply to the UM Master’s programme since you meet the program’s particular entrance requirements.
- You have never taken part in a Dutch higher education programme leading to a degree. We encourage applications from students who have participated in exchange programmes in the Netherlands.
- On September 1, 2025, you will not be older than 35.
- Your most recent grade transcript or academic excellence certification attest to your good performance in previous programmes of study. UM will prioritise applicants whose academic transcript or certified letter of academic excellence shows that they are in the top 5% of the 2025–2026 scholarship programme applicants, even if multiple applicants are equally eligible.
