Queensland University Scholarships 2025 For International Students:
Outstanding overseas students enrolled in UQ’s undergraduate or graduate science programmes are eligible to apply for scholarships. Financial Benefits:
The following scholarships are available from Queensland University:
Science International Scholarship:
- The value of the scholarship is $3,000.
- Scholarship awardees must fulfil the requirements mentioned above, where applicable, in order for their funds to be paid.
- Following the academic census date of the first semester of study, UQ will pay the scholarship winners.
- Each recipient’s designated Australian bank account will receive payment from UQ.
UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship:
- Restricted to the fund’s yearly income.
Eligibility Criteria:
In order to be eligible for the Queensland University Scholarship for International Students, applicants need to meet each of the requirements listed below:
- English is one of the required languages.
- Acceptable Countries: Every nation on the planet.
Science International Scholarship:
- Possess the ability to be categorised as an overseas student in Australia.
- Provide the necessary documentation by the scholarship deadline in order to fulfil the requirements of a UQ offer for an authorised programme.
- Provide evidence of your excellent academic standing while applying to the UQ programme.
enrolling in a programme run by the UQ Faculty of Science; the programme must to be full-time and last more than a year. - Be starting their studies at UQ for the first time.
- You are not eligible for these scholarships if you are a current UQ student looking to switch programmes.
- Students who sign up for exchange, study abroad, or non-award programmes are not eligible.
- A scholarship winner is required to:
• Start their studies during the semester that their UQ offer letter specifies.
• Put out your best effort to finish the study programme with success.
• Give UQ permission to use their name, portrait, degree programme name, and identification as the recipient of the scholarship in publications.
• Offer a recommendation and an appropriate photo for print.
UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship:
- Obtained an ATAR of 99.90 or above as a minimum.
- Year 12 completed in 2022 (or 2023 if you’re taking a gap year).
- Additionally, any of the following: a citizen of Australia or the holder of an Australian permanent humanitarian visa;
- Australian Permanent Resident, citizen of New Zealand, or overseas student enrolled in or already out of school in Years 11 and 12.
- Have applied for a tertiary place through QTAC and have UQ listed as your first QTAC preference as of December 18, 2024; have not completed any previous tertiary study other than as part of your Year 11–12 studies (e.g., Enhanced Studies Programme); intend to enrol as a full-time student in a UQ undergraduate programme in 2024 (or 2025 if deferring your tertiary place).

Science International Scholarship:
- Submit an official application for a postgraduate or undergraduate degree at The University of Queensland directly from this page.
- Get an offer and your UQ student ID number.
- Fill out this online application for the Science International Scholarship.
- Apply by 5 p.m. (AEST) on the day before the scholarship ends.
UQ Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship:
- You will need:
- Proof of your most notable leadership and community service accomplishments from Years 11 and 12, together with your QTAC application number.
