Undergraduate students now have access to scholarships such as the Elite Scholarship ($9,000/year) for students with a GPA of 3.75 or above, the Gold Scholarship ($7,000/year) for students with a GPA of 3.5 or above, and the Blue Scholarship ($5,000/year) for students with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Candidates for the $5,000 Masters Merit Scholarship and the $9,000 Doctoral Merit Scholarship must be graduate students and have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
A student must be admitted to ETSU as a degree-seeking individual, have an F-1 or J-1 student visa, or plan to earn one, and have completed courses with a GPA of 3.0 or above in order to be eligible for an International Merit Scholarship. This means a 3.0 high school GPA for freshmen applicants, prior university coursework for transfer students, and undergraduate coursework for graduate applications. As long as they continue to complete the eligibility requirements, undergraduate beneficiaries are limited to eight semesters, while graduate recipients are limited to five semesters. The scholarships cannot be combined with other financial aid meant to cover the expense of out-of-state or overseas tuition.
