Elks National Foundation Scholarships 2025 For USA Citizens:
The Elks National Foundation has assisted students in realising their academic goals since 1931. At least 800 deserving, altruistic high school students get college scholarships worth over $3 million from us each year.
Any senior in high school who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to enter the Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student scholarship programme. To enter the national competition, applicants must pass through the local, district, and state levels. A Leadership Weekend will be held in Chicago, IL, for the top national finalists. The top 500 applicants in the competition will receive coveted four-year scholarships from the Elks National Foundation.
A sizeable portion of each prize is meant to be used to pay for the student’s living expenses, books, tuition, and other mandatory fees. Individuals receive different awards depending on their tuition costs and any additional grants or scholarships they may be eligible for.
The need-based scholarship recipients are selected based on both their leadership and academic prowess. There are 500 scholarships awarded nationwide each year, with grant amounts ranging from $4,000 to $50,000 spread over four years. Applications must be sent to the Elk Lodge nearest your residential location, so before you apply, do some research on the Elk Lodges in your region. Financial Benefits:
The laureate of the Elks National Foundation Scholarship Programme receives:
- The top-ranked candidates in the 2025 competition will receive 500 four-year scholarships from the Elks National Foundation.
- Most Valuable Student scholarships, which range in value from $1,000 to $12,500 annually, are awarded to students who are enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 semester hours) at U.S. colleges or universities and are seeking a four-year degree. All scholarships come in the form of certificates of award, and acceptance into a recognised
- American institution or university is contingent upon the winner’s full-time enrollment.
- The 500 national winners will be revealed by the Elks National Foundation’s Chicago headquarters before the end of April 2025. (Through this programme, numerous state Elks associations, local Lodges, and districts grant their own scholarships. The 500 Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student awards are not to be confused with these awards.)
Eligibility Criteria:
An applicant must meet each of the standards listed below in order to be eligible for the Elks National Foundation Scholarship Programme.
- Language required: English
- United States of America is eligible.
- Applicants must be US citizens and current high school seniors, or the equivalent.
- No family relationship to an Elk is required of applicants.
- You cannot apply if you graduated from high school.
- It is not acceptable for applicants to have permanent legal resident status; they must be citizens of the United States on the day of application submission.
