Gold Seal Vocational Scholarship (GSV):

  • 3.00 weighted GPA in non-elective courses
  • 3.5 unweighted GPA in career education courses
  • 3 full credits in a single Career and Technical Education program
  • 30 service hours or 100 paid work hours
  • No required courses
  • Achieve minimum ACT®/SAT® or P.E.R.T. exams score by June 30th of high school graduation year

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be a resident of Florida and a citizen of the United States or, if the student’s postsecondary institution determines, an eligible noncitizen.
  • No later than August 31, following high school graduation, complete the FFAA.
  • Achieve the equivalent of a normal Florida high school diploma from a Florida public high school or a private high school approved by the Florida Department of Education (FDOE); alternatively, finish a home education programme.
  • Unless the student has been awarded clemency by the Governor and Cabinet acting in their capacity as the Executive Office of Clemency, they cannot have been found guilty of a felony charge or entered a plea of nolo contendere.
  • Acceptance into and enrollment in a degree or certificate programme at a public or private postsecondary institution in Florida that meets the requirements.
  • Enrol in a minimum of six non-remedial semester credit hours every term (or the corresponding number of quarter or clock hours).

Special Eligibility

  • Obtain a normal Florida high school diploma after completing your education at a public high school in Florida.
  • Reach the necessary minimum score on the college admission exam, either the ACT® or the SAT®, by June 30 of the year of high school graduation;
  • After graduating from high school, fulfil the required amount of volunteer hours or 100 paid job hours, and submit an FFAA by August 31 at the latest.
