The Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship 2024-25 is a fully funded scholarship for students from all around the world to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degrees at Japanese premier universities. MEXT offers a fully funded scholarship. As a result, the Japanese government will reimburse all of your degree-related fees. Details are provided below:
- A monthly stipend will be provided to all approved candidates.
- MEXT will cover 100% of the tuition fees.
- Round Airfare Tickets will be issued for travel from the home nation to Japan and vice versa.
- It covers your entire accommodation.
- Residence will be given by the university to which you have been accepted, and allowance will be granted by the Japanese government.
Duration of the Scholarship:
- Bachelor’s Degree: 4 to 5 years.
- Master’s Degree: 2–3 years.
- Doctoral studies typically take three to four years.
Documents Required:
To apply for the Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship, you must provide the following documents:
- Mark Sheet, Application, and Recommendation Forms Required documents include a letter, health certificate, and research plan (for research students only).
- Abstract for theses (if applicable)
- Academic detail. Secondary School Mark Sheet: (Matric/O Levels, Attested Copy)
- Academic detail. Higher Secondary School Mark Sheet: (Intermediate/A Levels, Attested Copy)
Attested copy of certificate of enrollment from the current educational institution (if applicable). - Hope certificate provided by the Institute (for students whose final results are expected by August 2024).
Note:
- Submitted documents will not be returned.
- The application should be unstapled and printed on A4 size paper.
- Other certificates and documentation will not be considered.
- Knowledge of Japanese and IELTS/TOEFL is not required.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants from nations that have diplomatic relations with Japan are eligible for the MEXT Scholarship.
- Students with Japanese Nationality are not eligible.
- Must be born after April 2, 1987.
