The University Twente Scholarship (UTS) is a scholarship for outstanding students from non-EU/EER countries who wish to pursue a graduate degree (MSc) at the University of Twente. Become one of UT’s most promising students.

The University offers A pproximatly 50 Scholarships to students who needs educational assistance. These scholarships range from government funds to support from organisations or private individuals. In addition, faculties and the University of Twente Scholarship Foundation (UTS) provide a limited number of scholarships to exceptional candidates. UTS recipients can be granted two scholarships: the Kipaji Scholarship and the Professor de Winter Scholarship. These scholarships include extra requirements. Financial Benefits:
The University of Twente Scholarship offers the recipient the following:
- For one year, it costs between € 3,000 and € 22,000.
- In the case of a two-year study programme, students can get an additional UTS equal to that of the first year to cover the second year’s expenses. However, the scholarship will only be extended for the second year if students meet the UTS application standards.
- You must have received:
- An average grade of 7 (out of 10) by the end of the third quarterly of the first year.
- At least half of European credits at the conclusion of the third quarterly of the first year.

Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for the University of Twente Scholarship (UTS), you must meet the following requirements.
- Required Language: You meet the general English language test requirement. Academic IELTS 6.5 (or TOEFL iBT 90) with an additional 6.0 (TOEFL iBT 20) on the speaking sub-score.
- Qualified Countries: All World Countries
- The application for a UT scholarship is different from the application for course enrolment at the University of Twente. Regardless of funding, you will need to obtain an admission letter first.
- You have been admitted (provisionally) to one of the eligible UT Master programmes, which will begin in the following academic year (September). Please keep in mind that it may take up to 8 weeks after submitting your application to receive your findings.
- You must have a student ID number.
- To be eligible for the University Twente Scholarship, you must not have graduated from a UT (under)graduate programme, meet the prerequisites for getting an admission visa in the Netherlands (if applicable), be ineligible for a Dutch study loan, and be an excellent student. This typically signifies that you belong to the top 5 to 10 percent of your class.
