Global Korea Undergraduate Scholarships 2025 For International Students:

The Global Korea Undergraduate Scholarships 2025 in South Korea are now accepting applications. The GKS Bachelors Scholarship is open to all international students from anywhere in the world in 2025–2026. All candidates can apply for a Korean Government Scholarship to study for an undergraduate degree at one of the top universities in Korea. This fully funded scholarship is intended to help the most gifted students in Korea finish their study. The grant is available for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Nearly all academic disciplines and majors are eligible for the GKS Scholarship, which can be used to finish a bachelor’s degree. A total of 100 prizes will be granted through University Track to the chosen candidates. The full cost of attending school in Korea will be met by the scholarship. The five-year scholarship includes a one-year language course and a four-year degree program.

Students can use any of the following Tracks to apply for Global Korea Undergraduate Scholarships in Korea:

University Track: 176 awards in total

Only majors in engineering and natural science are eligible for the regional university track. Applicants must submit their applications to the university of their choosing if they intend to apply to GKS through the University Track.

Candidates for the University Track are required to select “General” as their application type.

Embassy Track: 86 awards in total

Applications for the Korean Global Korea Undergraduate Scholarships must include the following paperwork:

University Track: Only ONE set of original documentation is required from applicants.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Korean Scholarship applications are open to applicants and their parents who are not Korean citizens.
  • Applicants who are dual citizens—that is, who hold citizenship in both Korea and another nation—are not allowed to apply.
  • It is necessary to be under 25 years old (born after September 1, 2000).
  • Before August 31, 2025, the applicant must have a high school certificate or be anticipated to graduate before that date.
  • All candidates must be in good physical and mental health in order to pursue full-time degree programs or research studies in Korea.

Important Information:
  • A candidate may only apply to one track at a time.
  • It is completely prohibited to apply to both the Embassy track and the University tracks (the associate degree track and the regional university track for majors in engineering and natural science).
  • It is strictly prohibited to apply to both the Associate Degree track and the Regional university track for majors in Natural Science and Engineering within the university.
  • An applicant on the university track is limited to applying to one major and one university.

Note: An candidate will not be eligible for this award if it is discovered that they applied to more than one track.

You must select one university from the list of universities above and submit an application to that university. The university will submit your application to NIIED, who will make the final decision, along with a nomination of your name. Students may also apply through the Korean Embassy in your nation.
