IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) 2024:

The IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) aims to motivate and support young women to pursue a career in nuclear science. To that purpose, the MSCFP offers scholarships to chosen students pursuing master’s degrees in nuclear-related fields, as well as internship opportunities supervised by the IAEA. Financial Benefits:

  • MSCFP award: Students get up to €20,000 for tuition and up to €20,000 for living expenses during the master’s programme.
  • Obligations: Selected applicants will get an offer and be asked to confirm their acceptance of the fellowship within one week. The offer will include information on the award details, such as payment method, required commitment, and administrative requirements and procedures.

In addition to the completed online application form, the following documents must be submitted:

  • Copy of Passport/National ID
  • Official acceptance/admission letter from the university into the master’s programme identifying the nuclear related field of study and duration of the programme
  • Statement of tuition costs or confirmation of?Tuition fees
  • If relevant, provide documentation for any other scholarships you hold for the master’s degree for which you are seeking MSCFP funding.
  • Referees delivered completed reference templates directly to MSCFP by the application deadline (download the form here). The first reference is mandatory, whereas the second is preferred.

Eligibility Criteria:

The IAEA MSCFP is open to students from IAEA Member States who meet the following admission requirements:

  • Female candidates accepted or enrolled in an approved university’s master’s degree in a nuclear-related area.
  • Applicants with above-average academic qualifications (75% or higher, or GPA greater than 3.0 out of 4.0) will be given preference.

Selection Process:

  • The IAEA MSCFP Technical Selection Committee evaluates applications based on MSCFP selection criteria such as the applicant’s entry requirements, educational background and prior achievements, motivation, the impact of the fellowship on the applicant’s career goals, and commitment to public service. Geographical location, subject of study, language variety, and other criteria are all considered.
