KILLAM Postdoctoral Research Fellowship 2024 For International Students:
The Killam Scholarship was established in honour of Izaak Walton Killam by donations made during her lifetime and through the Will of his widow, Dorothy Johnston Killam. Their main goal is to provide funding for research and advanced education at five Canadian institutions as well as the Canada Council for the Arts.
The Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Fund for Advanced Studies awards the UBC Killam Postdoctoral Research Fellowships each year, which are available to scholars in various fields of study. - A $60,000 stipend every year for a maximum of two years
- A two-year, $4,000 travel research stipend.
Eligibility Criteria:
In order to qualify for the KILLAM Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, candidates need to fulfil the necessary requirements:
- English is the required language.
- All nations across the world are eligible.
- Must not have attended any University of British Columbia campus to pursue doctoral studies.
- Must have finished their PhD requirements no later than 24 months before the fellowship is scheduled to begin.
- Must not be employed by a university or college in a tenure-track or continuing faculty role at this time.
- Candidates may apply whether they are currently employed as temporary, term, or non-tenure track faculty members.
Application Processs:
To apply for a KILLAM Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, please complete these steps:
- Create a duplicate of your original academic transcripts or get one.
- Forward these to your home university, and request that they: confirm that the copies match their records
- Verify the accuracy of the copies and affix the official university stamp to them.
- Place the stamped and attested copies in sealed envelopes that have the Registrar’s endorsement.
