Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship Program 2024 For International Students:

A three-year leadership programme called the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship Programme is available to doctorate candidates. Its purpose is to develop leaders who can apply their ideas to benefit their communities, Canada, and the world.

They are looking for scholars with the intellectual capacity and a proven track record of academic success. The Foundation supports deep listening, profound curiosity, and the exploration of grey areas. Those who show a willingness to interact with a variety of viewpoints, people, cultures, and ideologies.

Applications from applicants in a variety of fields, including the social sciences and humanities, business schools, public health, and law, are encouraged by the Foundation. The Foundation has four main themes that must be addressed in the research of candidates: People and their Natural Environment; Canada and the World; Human Rights and Dignity; and Responsible Citizenship. Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Specifically You must be enrolled in a full-time PhD programme, have been admitted into or already in year one or two (starting year three in September 2024 or later), and be anticipated to finish your doctoral studies in 2027 or later.
  • Your area of study is broadly within the humanities or human sciences, directly pertaining to Canada’s future; for additional information, please see the FAQ and read about previous scholarship recipients.
  • The Foundation has four themes that your PhD thesis must address: people and their natural environment, Canada and the world, human rights and dignity, and responsible citizenship.
  • Thirdly be either a Canadian citizen or international institution, or a non-Canadian (permanent resident of Canada or foreign national) enrolled in a PhD programme at a Canadian institution.
