Financial Benefits:
PhD Scholarships at Prince of Songkla University will pay for
- the allowance, which is intended to cover housing and living expenses, is 10,000 Baht each month.
- The cost of tuition.
- An amount not to exceed 15,000 Baht, or roughly 450 US dollars, for travel expenses to and from the home country at the start and end of the scholarship term, respectively.
- Health and accident insurance coverage for the duration of the scholarship in Thailand (90 US dollars).

- A copy of the two-year-old English proficiency certificate.
- Resume or curriculum vitae.
- A verified copy of the transcript of records, including grades and GPA, for English Bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes.
- Purpose statement (about 800 words).
- Publications published, first page.
- Synopsis and plan of the research.
- The primary passport page in copy form.
- A certified medical statement (in English).
Eligibility Criteria:
In order to be eligible for a PhD scholarship from Prince of Songkla University, candidates must meet each of the standards listed below:
- The language that is necessary is English.
- All nations across the world are eligible.
- International students have strong academic credentials and research background.
- Only newly graduated students who want to start their studies at PS in semesters one or two are eligible.
- The subject for which the prior degree was earned must coincide with and meet the curriculum requirements of the programme.
- The applicant cannot get living expense reimbursement from another scholarship during the same time frame.
- The candidate needs to pass the following officially recognised English proficiency exam:
- CU or a PSU-TEP score of 60-A minimum score of 60 on the TEP, a minimum score of 500 on the TOEFL (Paper Based), a minimum score of 46 on the revised paper delivered test, or an institutional testing programme minimum score of 520, or 173 if it’s computer-based, or 61 if it’s internet-based,-A 5.0 IELTS score.
- The scholar needs to have a non-immigrant “ED visa” (Study Permit) and be enrolled full-time in school. The scholar who is travelling to Thailand on a tourist visa is not permitted to enrol and risk having their scholarship revoked.
Other Eligibility
- The student needs to put effort into both studying and completing the research thesis.
- The scholar is expected to provide a status report on their studies to the dentistry faculty every six months.
- In the third semester, the scholar needs to pass the proposal exam.
- The student needs to put effort into both studying and completing the research thesis.
- The scholar must follow the graduation requirements of each graduate programme and publish his or her dissertation in at least two credible, peer-reviewed international journals that are indexed in Web of Science (with an ISI impact factor) in order to meet the scholarship requirements.
- Upon admission to a particular programme, a candidate cannot transfer to another programme and must complete the coursework within the specified time frame.
- The faculty of dentistry is required to terminate a scholarship as soon as the graduate programme committee tells it of the scholar’s lack of progress on their thesis or studies without providing a valid reason.
- Additional terms as specified by the Dental Faculty are applicable.
