Eligibility Criteria:

The candidate must meet each of the requirements listed below in order to be eligible for the Shanghai Government Scholarship:

  • Language Requirements: Generally speaking, applicants must meet the HSK4 level in Chinese as well as the language requirements of the university and programme they are applying to.
  • All nations in the world are eligible, with the exception of Chinese nationals.
  • Candidates need to be in good health and non-Chinese citizens.
  • The pre-college programme requires applicants to be under 23 years old and to have completed high school.
