    Work experience: A minimum of 3,000 hours of verifiable work experience are required.
  • Leadership experience: Either from your past job or your current position, you must have shown that you have leadership experience.
  • Admissions to universities: By April 3, 2025, you must have completed the university admissions process, be qualified to enrol in one of the master’s programmes, and be liable to pay tuition to Swedish institutions.
  • Nationality: You must be a citizen of a nation that is allowed to participate in the scholarship programme.
  • Dual citizenship: To apply for SI scholarships, you should select just one of your two citizenship if you are qualified for SI scholarship programmes. This implies that you are limited to one application per SI scholarship programme. Candidates who use multiple citizenships when applying for multiple SI scholarships will be excluded.
  • Master’s courses: Scholarships from SI must be available for the master’s programme.

Application Process:

To apply for the Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP), please follow these guidelines:

  •  Apply for a master’s programme between October 17, 2024, and January 16, 2025, at universityadmissions.se. The SISGP is only available to master’s programmes that are included on the list of master’s programmes. Observe the guidelines listed here.
    • First, by January 16, 2025, submit an application to up to four master’s programmes that meet the requirements at universityadmissions.se.
    • Following the completion of your application at universityadmissions.se for the master’s program(s), you will receive an eight-digit personal application number. Keep the number handy because you’ll need it to apply to SISGP.
    • The deadline for submitting the application fee and all necessary supporting documentation to University Admissions is February 10, 2025. There is no reimbursement for the application cost.
    • You won’t be qualified for a SI scholarship if you didn’t follow University Admissions’ application process or missed the deadlines.
    • There are differences in the requirements and application process for university admissions and SI scholarships.
  • Use the guidelines below to submit an application for a SI scholarship between February 10 and 28, 2025.
    • You can apply for a SI scholarship once your master’s programme application is complete. View more details about the necessary paperwork and forms above.
