University of Minnesota Fellowship 2025 The Sawiris Social Development Foundation is pleased to announce the opening of the fourth round of the fully funded Yousriya Loza-Sawiris Scholarship Programme for candidates seeking an MDP from the University of Minnesota in the United States’ Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
Through a multidisciplinary curriculum, candidates are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the challenges of sustainable development, such as the management of non-profit projects and programmes, food insecurity and climate change, and the spread of poverty and population growth. Eligibility Criteria:
In order to qualify for a University of Minnesota Fellowship, candidates need to fulfil the necessary requirements:
- English is one of the required languages.
- All nations across the world are eligible.
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent, in a comparable field of study from an established university.
- Fulfil the prerequisites for enrolment in the academic MDP programme.
- Show a strong track record in both your academic and professional endeavours.
- Engage in extracurricular activities, volunteer work in the community, or entrepreneurial endeavours to showcase your outstanding people skills.
- Prove that you are unable to pay for your studies with your own money.
- The strongest candidates for academic success at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs will be those with a solid liberal arts education background and strong quantitative and analytical skills, while neither experience nor academic track are necessary.
- It is advised to have taken prior courses in economics, statistics, and mathematics.
- It is necessary to speak and understand English. Valid results on the TOEFL or IELTS exam, with a minimum of 600 on the paper version, 250 on the computer version, 100 on the Internet version, with a minimum of 22 points in each part, or 7 on the IELTS.
- It is necessary to have a valid Graduate Record Exam (GRE) score. There is no minimum or maximum score needed.
- A bank statement, a pay stub, or an HR letter from the current job in the event of unemployment should be included.
- Two recommendation letters.
