Yangzhou University Scholarships 2025 For International Students:

China’s Ministry of Education and the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government jointly support Yangzhou University (YZU). One of the first universities in Jiangsu Province to be approved to award master’s and doctoral degrees, it is a major comprehensive institution. YZU’s origins may be found in 1902, when Tongzhou Private Teachers’ School and Tonghai Agricultural School, the school’s forerunners, were founded.

With a focus on agricultural sciences, a strong humanities legacy, the merger of sciences and humanities, and the cogent growth of each main discipline, YZU’s curriculum embodies its motto of perseverance and self-reliance. On YZU campuses, there are currently approximately 25,000 full-time undergraduate students and over 11,000 postgraduate students, of whom over 2,000 are international students. Financial Benefits:

Undergraduate:

  • Waiver of tuition and lodging fees. The candidates are required to pay all additional fees.

Masters:

  • Waiver of tuition and lodging fees. Monthly living allowance of 1500RMB for a whole year (10 months).

PhD:

  • Waiver of tuition and lodging fees. Monthly living allowance of 2,500RMB for a year (10 months).

Notes:

  • Undoing The duration cannot be longer than the typical academic study term. Attendance at YZU’s annual review is mandatory for international students.
    Scholarships that don’t pass the review will have them suspended or possibly cancelled.
  • YZU primarily monitors undergraduate attendance and academic achievement, and it provides thorough evaluations based on comments from the college, incentives, and sanctions. tuition and housing costs are waived for the following academic year if attendance is at least 95% and average scores are at least 70; Should attendance reach 95% and average scores reach 60, there will be no tuition for the following academic year;
  • Scholarships with less than 95% attendance or average scores below 60 will be discontinued.

  • YZU primarily examines graduate students’ academic performance and comments from supervisors before presenting in-depth evaluations based on scientific accomplishments, incentives, and sanctions. Scholarship recipients who fail the review will have their awards suspended.
  • Scholarship recipients who have their awards suspended will lose them, although they are still able to pursue further education at their own cost. Also In the current academic year, they are eligible to apply for the yearly review. Their scholarship will be reinstated for the following academic year if the evaluation is successful.
  • Before the end of the first semester, YZU retains the authority to evaluate every scholarship recipient internally. A student will be immediately dropped from the scholarship programme if it is determined that they did not pass the evaluation. Scholarships will be immediately cancelled and will not be refunded if a student participates in any of the following activities: breaking Chinese laws and regulations, joining illegal organisations or activities, getting in trouble for it, or engaging in other illegal behaviours; or failing the annual scholarship review twice without good reason, for any reason. Additionally  Scholarships will be cancelled effective from the following semester.

  • The official report of language proficiency tests in either Chinese or English.

  • The Guardian’s Authorisation Letter (for younger applicants under the age of 18).
  • Application Form for Insurance.
  • Statement of Guarantee.
  • The guarantor’s current ID card or passport photo page.

Eligibility Criteria:

In order to be eligible for scholarships from Yangzhou University, candidates need to meet each of the standards listed below:

  • English is the language that is required.
  • All nations worldwide are eligible, with the exception of China.
  • Those foreign applicants to YZU who are currently enrolled as undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate students.
  • For undergraduates, you must be under 25 years old (by May 31st) and at least 18 years old. For masters, you must be at least eighteen years old and under thirty-five (by May 31). At least 18 years old and under 45 (by May 31st) are required for the PhD.
  • There isn’t another scholarship like it in China.

Observations:

  • Scholarship recipients who, for whatever reason, are unable to register on time may request a maximum one-month delay. Late registrants will be deemed to have forfeited their scholarship.
  • Scholarship recipients who must miss school due to illness may apply for a one-year scholarship. During the suspension of instruction, living expenses will not be covered. Scholarships cannot be reserved for other reasons during a period of school suspension.
