IDPIL Scholarship and Bursary Awards, 2024

The Ikorodu Division Peace Initiative Limited (IDPIL) is committed to promoting a peaceful and prosperous community through quality education. To achieve this goal, IDPIL has established a scholarship and bursary scheme aimed at providing educational support to indigenes and residents of the Ikorodu Division who are pursuing studies in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria. This initiative seeks to encourage academic excellence and alleviate financial burdens for students within the community.

Objectives of the Scholarship/Bursary Scheme

The IDPIL Scholarship/Bursary Scheme aims to accomplish two primary objectives:

  1. Promotion of Higher Quality Education: The scheme strives to establish a hub for human resources development within the Ikorodu Division by promoting higher quality education and academic excellence.
  2. Support for Financially Challenged Students: In light of the post-COVID-19 economic challenges, the scheme aims to provide financial support to students facing financial difficulties in pursuing their education.

Scholarship/Bursary Categories

The IDPIL Scholarship/Bursary Scheme consists of three categories:

  1. Scholarship Scheme: Open to both indigenes and residents, this category awards an annual sum of Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000:00) to recipients throughout their academic program. Applicants undergo an aptitude test and oral interview to determine eligibility based on academic performance.
  2. Bursary 1: Similar to the Scholarship Scheme, Bursary 1 is available to both indigenes and residents and provides a one-time award of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000.00) for a single academic session, based on academic performance.
  3. Bursary 2: Exclusively for financially disadvantaged indigenes, this category offers a one-time award of Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000.00) for a single academic session. Applicants are not required to meet specific academic performance criteria but must demonstrate a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or lower credit.
