International students can apply for the IHE Delft Netherlands MENA Full Scholarship Programme (MSP) 2025. The scholarship enables enrollment in certification course-level programs offered by the IHE Delft Institute for Water Education in the subject of water education. The scholarship application deadline is October 15, 2024.
An important program called the MENA Scholarship Programme (MSP) aims to strengthen organizations in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) area by providing them with knowledge and capacity building opportunities. This program helps to support customized training and development for organizations in the region by providing young professionals who are impact makers with a unique opportunity to participate in short courses in the Netherlands. Eligibile Nationalities:
MSP provides full scholarships to young professionals from the MENA region for short courses at respected Dutch universities. The following nations are qualified, especially if water management is a top concern:

Eligibility Criteria:
IHE Delft Short Courses That Qualify
Three short courses on water management and environmental assessment are available from MSP at IHE Delft.
1. Water Quality Assessment and Monitoring
Date: 3 Feb – 21 Feb
Participants will leave this course with the skills necessary to plan and set up a surface- and groundwater monitoring network. It emphasizes the idea and process of putting up a monitoring network and consists of classroom, lab, and field-based instructions.
2. Remote Sensing for Agricultural Water Management
Date: 3 Mar – 14 Mar
Participants will gain expertise in estimating high-resolution agricultural water use and biomass output using remote sensing data. Techniques for evaluating irrigation performance and water productivity are covered in the course.
3. Environmental and Social Impact Assessment at Project and Strategic Levels
Date: 23 Jun – 4 Jul
This course explains how to integrate systems thinking, cumulative effects, and strategic decision-making in environmental impact assessment, with a focus on how Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) guides sectoral and regional planning.

The MENA Scholarship Program application process is simple, but it does need some planning. Here are the essential actions to take:

- Step 2: Select from among the three approved courses (explained below).
- Step 3: Ask your employer to nominate you for the MSP scholarship.
- Step 4: Submit an application to the short course of your choice.
After getting an email confirming admission to the academic program:
- Step 5: Prepare your MSP application by attaching your passport, motivation letter, employer statement, and, if necessary, a government statement.
