Azerbaijan Government Scholarships 2024-25 for International Students:
The Azerbaijani government is accepting applications for its 2024–25 scholarship programme. Azerbaijan Scholarships are open to all international students from 152 countries worldwide. The prize is being presented by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Azerbaijan Scholarship 2024 is open to all students pursuing general medicine residency programmes, master’s degrees, doctoral degrees, and bachelor’s degrees. This is the fully funded scholarship for the 2024–2025 academic year as well.
Almost all academic specialities and majors are offered by this scholarship at Azerbaijani universities. Basically This programme has 20 universities involved.
On the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s directives, as has been noted the Scholarship in Azerbaijan was approved. Financial Benefits:
International students can apply for the fully funded Azerbaijan Government Scholarships 2024–25 to attend undergraduate and graduate degree programmes. Certainly it will pay for the subsequent costs:
- One year economy class international flight also with full tuition fees.
- 800 AZN, or 470 USD A monthly allowance for e.g housing, food, and utilities.
- Health Care Insurance 200 AZN ($117 USD).

Documents Required:
- Filled out the nomination form (for the initial application stage);
- Transcripts or diplomas from previous college also high school coursework.
- Copy of Passport Document detailing overall health status (including testing for hepatitis B and C, HIV/AIDS, and other conditions).
- Resume or CV.
- Inspirational Note.
- Evidence of English proficiency is optional for programmes in foreign languages; for undergraduate programmes, IELTS 5 or TOEFL 40 is required; for other programmes, IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL 50.
Selection & Result:
- Examining the pertinent documents.
- Online interviews conducted over Skype.
- Findings expire on July 2024.
Eligibility Criteria:
- All applicants from abroad are welcome to apply. Revocation of citizenship is a requirement for acceptance of scholarship applicants who are citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
- Students must be under 35 years old to be eligible for undergraduate and general medicine programmes.
- Residency and master’s programmes are only open to citizens who are under 40.
- PhD Degree: The candidate’s age shall not exceed 45 years old.
Application Process:
The official nomination of the applicant must come from the Ministries and Embassies of Azerbaijan in Your Country.
Send in your applications there. Direct applications won’t be taken into consideration.Go through the official press release. There is a link provided below:
- The first stage in the application procedure is for applicants to send the required documentation to the relevant Embassy in your country. The submission window closes at 6:00 PM Baku time on May 20, 2024.
- The candidates will move on to the second stage of the application procedure and apply via the Study in Azerbaijan Centralised Admission Service (SIACAS) website (portal.edu.az) from June 16 to July 1, 2024, if they are formally nominated by the relevant government agencies. To submit an application, candidates must enter into the SIACAS website and choose the relevant Admission channel (“Heydar Aliyev – International Education Grant” programme).
- Candidates may select from among 2(two) degree programmes offered by various Republic of Azerbaijani higher education institutions by using the proper channel.
- Applicants can monitor the progress of their applications and receive alerts from SIACAS regarding the following steps. The applicant’s personal account will also receive notifications at the same time.
- On the SIACAS website, applications can still be registered between June 16, 2024, at 12 AM, and July 1, 2024, at 6 PM Baku time.
- One application, for one of the qualifying countries (Annex 2) indicated in this Call for Applications, may be submitted by a candidate with multiple nationalities; the application must be submitted in accordance with the applicant’s nationality as nominated by the appropriate state bodies.
- The Scholarship program’s examination process will only apply to the applications that were first nominated by their respective countries.
